12/29/2022 0 Comments Remington model 31 serial numbers![]() ![]() but, you never really know, do you.īeen thinking on what to do with the M31. In all the other types of online transactions I've done, I haven't been burned yet. It is a pretty big trust to place in someone to just send them $213 and hope they follow through on their end. Maybe I should avoid the temptation for immediate gratification and delay receipt in exchange for a little security in the transaction. I have considered that many years ago, but hadn't thought about it lately. I see casonet posted a very good point while I was typing. ![]() I can pay tonight and BAM! the item can be shipped tomorrow. ![]() And Paypal IS easy to use, and is instant rather than mailing a check/MO and waiting for it to get there and then clear, etc. But all the same, I'd just as soon avoid conflict and just get my merchandise in the simplest, most expedient manner possible. And too my way of thinking, it's really none of their business what I buy as long as it's not an illicit transaction of some sort. You're right and they are just a money transferring system. I use Paypal for other things all the time so I don't want to run afoul of their rules, no matter how asinine they may be. I've read of other people doing it by listing the transaction as a "gift" or some such, but I don't remember the details because this will be the first time I've bought a gun online like this. I've just read that Paypal isn't gun friendly and doesn't allow guns to be purchased through their system. I asked the seller in my last email just to make sure.Īnd I knew it wasn't breaking any laws. But, from what I've read on the guns, it seems that most hold 4. The catalog page posted above shows the marketing of that feature. ![]() I think I'll go ahead and pick this one up since they don't make 'em like that anymore.Ĭlick to expand.Yeah, it seems that the model 31 came with a two round mag on some guns. I just wanted to make sure the price was somewhat appropriate for one of these. I'd be hard pressed to find a similar condition 870 for that actually, from what I've seen at the gun shows lately. And, worse case scenario, it's not like I have a fortune tied up in the gun at less than $250. But, if I do, with the internet, hopefully I can get whatever I may need through Numrich or the other usual sources for parts for the older guns. Hopefully, no more use than the gun will really see, I'll never have an issue. That's can always be an issue with older guns. While I also appreciate newer guns for what they are, they're more appliances to me for the most part.Īs far as repairs. But, I just have more of a connection for guns that were built back in the day when craftsmen took pride in their work, and that were built will more attention to hand fitting. I'll most likely never sell it so the "investment" aspect isn't really part of it for me. Click to expand.I guess that's my main motivation. ![]()
