12/31/2022 0 Comments Master in chemical engineeringIn short, a master in chemical engineering has a bright future in the modern, diverse and international chemical industry which is strongly anchored in (the extended neighbourhood of) our region. Last but not least, universities and research institutes also recruit chemical engineers. Furthermore, equipment design and construction companies employ many chemical engineers. Additional 12 units in upper division/graduate courses electives as approved by our Graduate Advisor. Of the 24 units, Academic Senate regulations state that a minimum of 12 units must be in 200-level courses in Chemical Engineering (230, 240, 244, 250 and 274). Other opportunities appear in engineering companies where you will be responsible for the design, construction and start-up of new production units. A total of 24 semester units are required for the M.S. A master in chemical engineering typically supervises a team responsible for (chemical) production and focuses on the improvement and innovation of processes and products. In addition, other companies where chemical transformations are implemented in the manufacturing process, such as the polymer, textile, food, pharmaceutical and environmental sanitation industry, offer various career opportunities. As a graduate you will typically be employed in the chemical process industry.
